2 ‘Lamb’ Burger

This burger will satisfy even the most red-blooded diner.


  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 4 cups of chopped mushrooms
  • 2 1/2 cups cooked lentils
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 5 grated garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons tapioca flour
  • 1 tablespoon each of dried basil, oregano, and marjoram
  • 20 turns fresh black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Saute the onions for 5 minutes then add the mushrooms and salt and cook for another three minutes. Add the cooked lentils along with the garlic, oats, tomato paste, tapioca flour, dried herbs and salt and pepper. Next blend in a food processor. Then form the mixture into patties and bake them in a preheated oven at 350° for 25 minutes. Flip them over halfway through.
